LEGO BrickHeadz set 40412 Hagrid & Buckbeak joined my collection on 3 September 2021. It is a duo from the third Harry Potter instalment, Prisoner of Azkaban, made of 270 pieces. Hagrid is number 102 in the BrickHeadz series and Buckbeak is 103. LEGO released the set in 2020, and if you’re interested in Prisoner of Azkaban in BrickHeadz form, I have also written about set 40677 with the Dementor and the Patronus.
| Release year | 2020 |
| BrickHeadz numbers | 102, 103 |
| Number of figures | 2 |
| Number of pieces | 270 |
| In my collection | Yes, since 3 September 2021 |
What pleases me most here are the proportions of the two figures. Hagrid is clearly bulkier, in his classic brown coat, and Buckbeak next to him proudly spreads his wings, which capture his wild silhouette really well. Building 270 pieces takes a bit longer than single BrickHeadz, and the end result is worth it. It stands next to other sets from my collection and the whole display fits together nicely.
