41614 Owen and Blue joined my collection on 18 September 2022. They’re the duo numbered 47 and 48 from 2018, the only representatives of Jurassic World in the BrickHeadz series. Interestingly, Blue is the first figure in the history of the series that’s neither a humanoid nor an anthropomorphic character. After the recently described 41613 Mr. Incredible & Frozone and 41612 Steve & Creeper, this is another unique franchise 2-pack.

The 234 pieces are split between the trainer and the velociraptor. Owen is a standard BrickHeadz build with a distinctive hairstyle (medium nougat slopes and tiles with signature swirly bangs), a sand blue shirt and a printed leather waistcoat. In his hand he holds a tranq dart rifle modelled on the minifigure weapon. Blue is built mainly from sand green and dark green, and has four printed elements: two 1x4 bricks with dino scales and two 1x3 tiles with cute little teeth. Fans are divided on the dinosaur: some complain that the BrickHeadz format is a poor fit for a velociraptor, others praise the two-tone body sculpt.
