41627 Luke Skywalker and Yoda joined my collection on 26 December 2022. They’re the duo numbered 70 and 71 from 2018. Luke appears in his version from the end of The Empire Strikes Back, so together with the master on his back it’s a scene we all remember well. Of the other SW BrickHeadz in my collection, I’ve already written about 41619 Darth Vader and 41620 Stormtrooper from the same wave.

The 215 pieces are split between a standard-sized Luke and a much smaller Yoda. Yoda doesn’t use the typical BrickHeadz template, but a technique similar to the one used for Olaf in 41618 Anna & Olaf, which gives him suitably diminutive proportions. Luke wears a dark tan costume with a shirt and a belt, to which you can clip the lightsaber hilt, and in his other hand he holds a blaster. Yoda got a printed 1x2x2 brick with Jedi robes and a simple walking stick. It’s Yoda who comes out strongest here, thanks to a well thought-out 3x3 build and one spot-on print, while Luke turns out fairly ordinary.
