Today, out of the blue, photos of two sets based on the Transformers series appeared. The figures don’t change into vehicles, but it’s still fun!
Wow! At last it isn’t boring! 🙂 The new offering from LEGO is neither pretty nor does it transform, and the versions after transforming into vehicles have nothing to do with the rules that apply in BrickHeadz. And you know what? That’s exactly what I was hoping for: to finally see something different in BrickHeadz. Even if we end up deciding these are weak sets, the attempt to break out of the rut deserves credit.
But let’s not judge too hastily, because although the new figures look a bit… like fairground trinkets, who knows how they will look on the shelf. I’m optimistic!
Moving on to the details, the photos show two sets:
40803 Optimus Prime, 237 pieces
40804 Bumblebee, 253 pieces
Both sets contain two figures each: the character as a robot and the same character as a vehicle. Although this is unofficial information, everything indicates that the release will be on 1 March.
Update 2025-02-13
Oh, many people doubted whether this was some kind of hoax, but there’s no need to wonder about it any longer. Official information has already appeared on the LEGO website!
