Build all the Batman figures from set 40748

You surely know that by buying set number 40748 you can build one of eight Batman figures. The problem is that each of these figures has its own BrickHeadz number, and many people, me included, would like to have them all at the lowest cost. Today I’ll show you how to do it.

Let’s sum up. We have set 40748, one printed instruction booklet and the rest available in the LEGO app. Because each of the eight figures contains printed pieces, and because each such piece is printed on both sides, to start with we need two original sets. The rest of the pieces we can freely pick from our own stock or buy.

I’m completely leaving aside the fact that you may manage to buy the printed pieces separately and in that way won’t need to buy a second original set. For now that’s practically impossible; bricklink.com doesn’t even have these pieces in its catalogue. I’m also not addressing the fact that some of us want to build 7 rather than 8 figures. That’s my case too: one of the figures is a perfect copy of number 1 in the BrickHeadz series, which I already own. Even so, I’m showing the parts list needed for all eight figures, and if you don’t want to build that one, you’ll have to remove the pieces that make up that figure yourself.

Now that everything is clear, we can focus on the parts list. You can of course get the pieces any way you like, whether from your own stock or most of them (without the batarangs) from LEGO Pick a Brick or, like me, from bricklink.com. And for that last place I have a ready file for you to import the parts list.

You’ll find the file you need at this link. You have to unzip it, go to the Want->Upload page and switch to the “Upload BrickLink XML format” tab. There we paste the contents of the file (unfortunately you can’t upload the file itself).

After this operation you’ll get a lovely list of all the pieces you need, and although that’s not the end of the work, because you still have to find a seller or sellers and go through the whole purchasing process, it’s still much easier this way. Good luck!
