A few days ago LEGO announced two new BrickHeadz sets. This time our shelves will welcome characters from the story of a very fast hedgehog.
For a long time we had to wait for any news related to BrickHeadz. I think we have to get used to the fact that every year the first half will be busy, but the remaining months will be thin on new sets and releases.
Rumours about these sets first appeared in March. I wrote back then that there were leaks about figures from the world of Sonic. Even then it seemed very likely and credible, given that LEGO already had other sets dedicated to this hedgehog. Then in April the set numbers appeared, along with information about the piece counts and a September release date, but with no further information about what these sets were. Today we know pretty much everything.
On 1 September LEGO will put two new sets on sale:
40627 (139 pieces): Sonic the Hedgehog
40628 (131 pieces): Miles ‘Tails’ Prower
Each set costs PLN 44.99. Below you can see what these sets will look like.
Finally, a little rumour that we have no way of verifying right now. Apparently next year we can expect more BrickHeadz sets from the Sonic universe.
