The launch of the new BrickHeadz sets from the Minecraft series is behind us. I personally grabbed them on the first day they were available and they already decorate my shelf. If, however, you’re still holding off on buying, you could even get set number 40625 for free. All you need is “a bit of luck”.
Set 40625 Llama is unique because it got the round number 200 in the BrickHeadz numbering. I already mentioned on the microblog that this set was promoted on the official Twitter profiles of LEGO and Minecraft. Now we can see that this isn’t the end of the campaign, because information about a lottery has appeared online.
The lottery is for LEGO VIP members (and practically anyone can become one, you just need to register). If you decide to take part in the draw, you have a chance to win one of 25 exclusive sets signed by Jens Bergensten, together with a certificate of authenticity and a stylish box.
To join the lottery you need to spend 50 VIP points per entry, and you can enter a maximum of 50 times. The whole thing officially runs from 1 to 21 April. At the moment there is no option to join on the Polish version of the LEGO website, and it’s not clear whether that’s some kind of delay or, unfortunately, regional restrictions. From the information I found, the campaign covers “most European and North American countries”.
Winning this set will border on a miracle, and its prices on the secondary market will be dizzying. Regardless, it’s good to see that the BrickHeadz series is still being promoted with initiatives like this.
