Another figure released by LEGO to mark the opening of an official store, in this case in Cologne. This time, however, it was an exception because the store was temporary, set up at the venue and for the duration of Comic-Con Experience (CCXP for short). The official name of the store was “LEGO Pop-Up Shop”.

The event took place on 27 June 2019 and lasted until 30 June. The set was given away free with purchases of at least 75 euros. Only 250 sets were available each day, which makes 1000 figures in total. They came packed in a plain plastic bag with a plastic zip seal. Instructions were included with the set.
The biggest disappointment of this set was the “I ❤️ Cologne” text, because it was a sticker. LEGO didn’t manage to produce the right printed pieces in time. Worse still, the sticker was a bit too big and didn’t fit entirely on the piece it was meant to go on.

You may come across printed “I ❤️ Cologne” pieces online, without a sticker. Be aware that these are definitely prints made by others, not by LEGO. Such a piece was never made in the original, and it was the fans who took matters into their own hands, which you can read about for example here or see in photos from the author of these prints.
