Another figure released by LEGO to mark the opening of an official store, in this case in Amsterdam. This time LEGO went as far as producing a neat box.

The store opened on 29 November 2019, but the BrickHeadz figure was available from 3 to 5 December. The set was given away free with purchases of at least 75 euros. I couldn’t find reliable information on how many sets were available. Only one website mentioned that there were 5000 of them, which is of course plausible, since other sets of this kind were also released in such quantities. The pieces came packed in a plain plastic bag with a plastic zip seal, but this time the whole thing was handed to customers in a paper box with an open front. Instructions were included with the set. The heart piece is printed, not a sticker, and it’s the only piece unique to this set.

Interestingly, apart from the figure itself and the instructions, my box also contained the official store opening brick. As it happens, these openings usually (or maybe even always?) have a dedicated flat tile with a suitable inscription. That’s far more common than BrickHeadz figures for a store opening. Whether the tile ended up there on the store staff’s initiative or whether the lucky recipient decided to slip it inside themselves, I don’t know and never will. It was certainly possible to do without opening the whole thing (I checked 🙂 ).
