The only complete BrickHeadz collection

Every now and then online I come across photos of BrickHeadz collections that their owner describes as complete, meaning one that has all the sets released so far. In the end it always turns out not to be true. So far I know of one case of a non-anonymous person who has a confirmed complete BrickHeadz collection.

Most BrickHeadz figures are widely available. There are, however, a few sets, above all the ones from Comic-Con 2016 and 2017, that are insanely expensive and therefore really hard to get. The worst situation is with Nonnie Inside Tour 2017, which there’s nowhere to buy, because I’ve never seen an official offer, and if we ever do come across an offer, we should be prepared for a huge cost of tens of thousands of zloty.

In Germany, however, lives Lars Conrad, the only person I know of who isn’t anonymous and can boast of a complete collection. On his Instagram he once posted a photo of his sets, and what you can see there is truly impressive.

Let’s skip the widely available sets entirely. Besides those, there are of course all the sets from Comic-Con 2016 and 2017, as well as the sets tied to The LEGO Movie 2, which were released in 5000 copies each. Lars also has all the figures released for new store openings (top right corner of the photo) and even the two-packs (those plain white boxes). In the middle you can see a build-it-yourself Wonder Woman, and next to her the hardest figure to get, Nonnie Inside Tour 2017 number 68/80.

On 2 May 2022 a video was published on the official LEGO House Facebook profile where we can watch Lars setting up his BrickHeadz figures, with the announcement that this was part of an exhibition that could be seen until 6 June. Lars says that all his sets are in their original untouched boxes, so you can conclude that he has many of them twice, and that’s why he could display built figures at LEGO House.

In the top left corner of the photo of his collection you can also see a yellow book, which is Lars’s unofficial catalogue of BrickHeadz sets. You can find out more about it in this post.

On his YouTube channel Lars has also posted a video showing all the set boxes from his collection in their full glory. I’m including it below:

Update 2023-10-08
I’ve added a story to the site that may reveal a second complete BrickHeadz collection that I know of. There isn’t much evidence for it, but it still sounds credible. I’ll try to “squeeze” some additional material out of the owner, and if I manage to, I’ll describe it in that second post.
