This dark brown “stick” is very rare; it appeared in only four BrickHeadz sets dedicated to Harry Potter. How did I notice? Well, I ran into a scammer who sold me sets 41615 and 41616 with these pieces swapped for shorter, much more common ones. I’ve been importing sets from all over the world, and the one who cheated me was a fellow Pole.

A small rumour is going around the Internet that this year we can expect a BrickHeadz set from the world of Sonic the Hedgehog. It may even be several figures, not only Sonic but also, for example, Tails, Doctor Eggman and Shadow. For now nothing more is known.

The official LEGO and Minecraft profiles on twitter.com are promoting BrickHeadz with set number 200, in which we get the Llama from Minecraft. I may be wrong, but it seems quite unusual for BrickHeadz to get this kind of “fanfare” on social media.

Recently I wrote that I had come across set 75317 in ordinary shops and that this might signal wider availability of BrickHeadz sets outside the official LEGO Stores. It turns out that it’s the only BH set that isn’t exclusive, meaning its distribution isn’t limited. That also explains why this set has a number so different from the other BrickHeadz. All of this most likely comes from the licence agreement. I’m curious how it went in detail and why such an exception was made.

It seems that something has changed recently and LEGO BrickHeadz are reaching wider distribution, not only the LEGO Store. In the last week or two I came across BrickHeadz twice in different shops, for example I found 75317 The Mandalorian & The Child at Auchan. The price was high, not attractive at all, but I’m curious whether this is a temporary situation or already a permanent change and a new trend.

I need to vent. I hoped that the missing series numbers on the instructions of BrickHeadz sets was a temporary mistake. It looks like it isn’t, and it may stay that way for a long time. In my opinion it’s a slap in the face for collectors 🙁

Despite earlier leaks that the WALL·E figure in set number 40619 would have stickers on its eyes, it turns out that isn’t true. They’re printed! Phew!

There’s no doubt that some BrickHeadz fans approach this series more as investors than as collectors. If this side of BrickHeadz interests you, I recommend an article that appeared online last week. It has plenty of examples of how you can make money on this series.

Don’t forget that today is the release of the three new sets I wrote about, among other places, here. Off to the shop! 🙂
